Our Products - Phoenician Collection : Mt. Carmel

Mt. Carmel is available both as a thick Cobblestone or honed tiles and comes from a quarry near the Pyramids outside Cairo. This stone is a unique copper/gold color with many fossils and shelling. The cobblestone version is 3/4" thick and the edges are hand distressed and beveled then heavily tumbled to give it that thick Cobblestone look. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. This collection comes in five sizes including a massive 24x24 size. They can be used singly or in a 4 or 5 piece Versailles based pattern as well. The newest 1/2" honed version is hand beveled and available in 9 different sizes, including a huge, 24"x48" tile. There are also two sizes, 18" x 18" and 12" x 24" that come with a brushed surface. Slabs are 3/4" (2cm) or 1-1/4" (3cm) and are available in a honed or brushed finish. The Mt. Carmel collection works beautifully with the Jerusalem collection moldings and mosaics.
